Letter Writing to the Incoming Class of 2024
"I was a stranger and you welcomed me." | Matthew 25:35

Want to welcome the 24s to Aquinas House? You can! Sign-up to write letters to them this summer and show the freshmen how grateful we are that they’re a part of the Dartmouth community!

You may remember what it felt like to receive a handwritten letter as an incoming student yourself. It opens the door for people to find a home at AQ before they even step foot on campus, and we want to show the Class of 2024 that same hospitality!

As we did the past few summers, participants will be provided folded cards from AQ with space for a short handwritten message inside. Students are asked to include their email addresses in case their freshmen want to reach out in that way. A template will also be provided via email so everyone has a sense of what to write.

To sign-up, please fill out this form. If you are off-campus — the vast majority of you — please include your own mailing address in the response so we can mail the materials to you. If you are here this summer, please stop by AQ to pick up everything you need.

Finally, this is a work in progress! Once we solidify the number of current student participants, we will divide the incoming class and distribute names so folks can begin writing. The goal is to mail all of our letters by a date TBD. Please email with any questions.

Thank you for your hospitality!

Write for our Student Blog
"Those who have a voice must speak for those who are voiceless." | St. Óscar Romero

Since we’ve moved to remote learning, the AQ community has taken up writing as a means of maintaining our relationships and reflecting on our faith. Our staff writes the majority of our work, but we want to hear more from our students! Please consider submitting a post and let your voice be a gift to others! All those interested in posting to our student blog should email for more information. Posts can be written at any time.

Serving the Upper Valley
"There is nothing small in the service of God." | St. Francis de Sales

Join AQ in serving our Upper Valley community from a distance this summer!

We are in the process of creating new ways to maintain our relationships with local organizations like writing letters to the residents of Valley Terrace Assisted Living. To contribute to this project, please blitz Also, if you are a current student with an idea to serve this summer with one of our Upper Valley partner like Dismas House, the Haven, David’s House, or Valley Terrace, please contact Meg at
